A REVIEW FROM THE COUPLE
Aundrea is amazing when it comes to all things photography! I originally stumbled upon her Instagram when looking to get family photos done a couple of years ago and absolutely fell in love with her style and beauty of capturing in the moment, moments. At the time I started dating someone who I knew was special and different. A year later ended up engaged and then immediately booked her to shoot our micro-wedding / elopement in Glacier National Park. She’s followed our love journey through Instagram and we’ve been in communication throughout, she knew that what we had was rare, unique, and a once-in-a-lifetime thing and she was excited to get the opportunity to work with us both for our big day. She was beyond helpful with any questions we had throughout the process and she laid out our day perfectly. She is so down-to-earth and fun to be around we instantly clicked from the get-go. She’s definitely become a friend to both my husband and I as we all have so much in common. We cannot wait to see all of the photos she’s captured of us on our wedding day! Would definitely recommend Aundrea to anyone looking to get amazing photos done in the Glacier area, you will not regret it one bit!

THE WEDDING DAY
“The week leading up to the wedding there was smoke from wildfires all around (which living in Montana and it being that time of year came as no shock), we were starting to worry if it was going to be too smoky outside for our wedding day in Glacier to enjoy the beauty around us. Lo and behold, the day of the wedding turned out to be clear skies and the perfect 70-degree day. We were surrounded by an intimate group of our loved ones, filled with so much love and excitement, the day couldn’t have been any more perfect- & to be perfectly honest not even smoke would’ve ruined our day. We spent the evening exploring and hiking around Glacier in my wedding dress and heels and Sean in his suit - what an adventure that was! The day was so perfectly us and we relive it constantly in our minds and by looking back at the photos that were captured that day.”
The Howdeshells' Elopement Day
When the Howdeshells decided to say “I do” in Glacier National Park, they wanted a day as raw and dynamic as their love story. Forget stuffy traditions or cookie-cutter ceremonies; this day was about them, their connection, and the striking backdrop of nature’s untouched beauty. They chose 7 Mile Pull Off on the shores of Lake McDonald in West Glacier for their vows—a secluded spot where towering peaks meet a glassy lake, with nothing but the sound of nature to witness their moment. Their first look, vows and ceremony was simple but powerful. No frills. Just vows exchanged in the fresh mountain air, with tears, laughter, and the kind of emotion that you feel in your chest long after the day is done.
Why Glacier National Park?
Glacier National Park isn’t just a destination—it’s a mood, an atmosphere, and, let’s face it, an elopement photographer’s dream. It’s where the wild meets the romantic, offering countless spots for exchanging vows and creating memories that will stick with you forever.
For the Howdeshells, Glacier was more than a backdrop; it was a character in their story. From the rugged peaks framing their photos to the soft light filtering through the trees, every detail added layers to their day.
Planning Your Glacier Park Elopement
Thinking of following in the Howdeshells’ footsteps? Here are a few quick tips:
Permits Are a Must: Glacier National Park requires a special use permit for ceremonies. Don’t skip this step!
Timing Is Everything: Early mornings or weekdays offer the most privacy and the softest light for photos.
Pack Smart: The weather in Glacier can change in a heartbeat. Layers, sturdy shoes, and waterproof gear are essential.
What Makes an Elopement Unforgettable
Here’s the thing: elopements are more than just scaled-down weddings. They’re an opportunity to focus on what really matters to you as a couple. For the Howdeshells, it wasn’t about impressing anyone or following trends. It was about stripping everything down to its most authentic form and celebrating love in its rawest, realest state. When you choose to elope, you’re choosing freedom. Freedom to be yourself, freedom to ditch the pressure, and freedom to create a day that feels true to who you are.
